Help Fight Canine Cancer:
A Cause Close to My Heart

Hi, my name is Connor, and I'm on a mission to make a difference in the fight against canine cancer. Dogs are more than just pets – they’re family, and for many of us, our loyal companions bring us endless joy, comfort, and love. Unfortunately, cancer is the leading cause of death in dogs. According to the American Cancer Society, nearly 65% of dog deaths are due to cancer. This cause hits home for me, as my grandparents' dog, Simon, was like a best friend to me. Simon always knew how to make me smile and comfort me, but like so many others, he was diagnosed with cancer and passed away after a few months. I still miss him every day, and I want to help make sure fewer dogs and their families have to go through this heartbreak.

That’s why I’m raising funds for the American Canine Cancer Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing research for prevention, early detection, and new treatments. They are working to save the lives of the millions of dogs affected by cancer each year.

Dunks For Dogs

My Fundraiser Is

I'm combining two of my greatest passions – basketball and dogs – to make a real impact in the fight against canine cancer. That's why I created Dunks For Dogs – a fundraiser where every shot made, every dollar raised, will directly support groundbreaking research for the prevention, early detection, and treatment of canine cancer. Together, we can help save the lives of dogs and keep our best friends by our side for years to come.

Dunks For Dogs is an event where participants will aim to make as many free throws as possible within 30 minutes. Supporters can pledge a donation per basket—for example, $0.05 for each successful shot—or choose to contribute a fixed amount to the cause. After the event, everyone who registered on our website will receive an email with the total number of baskets made and their corresponding donation amount, which can be donated directly to Canine Cancer Alliance
